Titanic: a young, poor British architect stows away on the Titanic to get to America to make his fortune. He meets a young interior designer. They fall in love, have an affair, and plan their future. The ship sinks but as it is going down, they grab deck chairs, build a raft and sail into New York. After forming a company, they import Thonet bent wood furniture and become incredibly wealthy!

The 'FEES' chart is spot on! Clients will tend to have a budget and spend more money on their imported bidet than on their Architect...by the way, they also like to call you "their Architect" when it makes them feel impowered to their family and friends.

Thanks for the information. But one must understand that stainless steel is one of the most popular materials in architecture. The design, fabrication and finish remain unchanged over the entire life of the building. No wonder stainless steel is highly preferred by leading architectural and landscape design experts. It is ideal for the widest range of applications and can withstand the most aggrieve environments. Do reconsider the suggestions of the contractor once for the best results.

I *was* going to say something about air leakage smoke tests and continuous frameless mirrors in restrooms, etc. but then i remembered the lyrics to Hotel California... "mirrors in the ceiling..."

The lyrics apply to our profession:

We are all just prisoners here........................we don't want to leave the field
Of our own device .........................................skills, innate and learned
And in the master's chambers......................the atelier, studio, etc
They gathered for the feast...........................yet another design problem
They stab it with their steely knives.............wrestling with perfection
But they just can't kill the beast....................never fully satisfied with the result
